One of the best ways to take care of your skin on a daily basis is to develop a daily skincare routine, which generally involves using multiple products that offer different benefits for your skin. This also generally means one routine in the morning and another routine at night. With the right combination of skincare products, or rather the right skincare bundle, you keep your skin healthy and fight back some of those natural signs of aging.
Think of a proper skincare routine as a solution to a scientific or mathematical equation. You have steps that have to be taken in order to come to the solution. That is what we want to do with your skincare routine, only making it easier by creating skincare bundles that provide all the products you need to address your specific concerns.
These skincare bundles can be pre-made packages by the skincare company or products you put together on your own to address your needs.
Know Your Skin Type
Now, there will be some products that are effective across all skin types, but others may work better for oily skin while causing irritation for dry and sensitive skin. Some of this may also be trial and error while you find products that work. That is why it is always a good idea to contact us before staring your skincare routine so we can recommend the best products or skincare bundles for your skin type.
Building a Skincare Bundle Morning to Night
Your skincare routine starts off every morning with a cleansing product. You want to have a product that can gently clean the skin and prepare it to absorb the products that will follow. This will be an area where you will want to use something specifically for your skin type to ensure the cleanser is capable of stripping away excess oils or not damaging sensitive skin.
Next will be a toner, such as our Pore Defying Toner, which will strip any remaining dirt as well as providing balance and readying the skin for your serums and moisturizers.
The serum should be applied next. These products often have a higher concentration of antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin E to help the skin recover from sun damage and to treat those annoying dark spots.
Next up you will apply eye cream, which is generally formulated ONLY for the area around the eyes. For instance, our Peptide Rich Eye Serum helps to reduce the puffiness under your eyes and restore a more youthful appearance.
Moisturizer and Sun Protection
I am combining these two because many moisturizers today incorporate natural SPF protection. However, if you are going to be directly exposed, you will obviously want to add a layer of sunscreen to your moisturizer to make sure you are fully protected.
Your nighttime routine is almost identical to the daytime routine, including the cleansing. You need to remove all that buildup that has accumulated throughout the day and give your face a “refresh,” so to speak. The one variation is that after applying your serum, you may want to add a spot treatment to work overnight to help lighten those age spots that are beginning to pop up.
Also, after applying moisturizer, apply a retinol repair products, such as our PM Retinol Repair Oil, that will work overnight to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. After the retinol product is applied, you can also use night cream that is formulated specifically to work overnight.
